Ukrainian Olympians already in Vancouver
Last night, 27 representatives of Ukrainian official Olympic delegation, which included – biathlon, figure skaters, skiers and working staff, arrived in Vancouver. This was reported in the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

remained behind a complex flight, which generally lasted about 19 hours. In Canada, the Ukrainian delegation flew in transit through Frankfurt, where the athletes, who flew from Kiev, joined by leaders of the team figure skating – pair Tatiana Volosozhar and Stanislav Morozov, who live and train in Germany, as well as several Ukrainian biathletes.

Capital city of the XXI Olympic Winter Games met by Ukrainians in this spring weather – sunny and 10 on the thermometer. On Canadian soil our delegation met with bread and salt Ukrainian diaspora. Caravan was solemnly handed Volosozhar. Our athletes come to congratulate the arrival of some two hundred persons.

Athletes will be placed in two Olympic villages in Vancouver and Whistler village. On 4 February, both the village officially opened, and every day increases the number of Olympic athletes and officials who live in them.

Participating countries seek to maximize present themselves, “dressing up” their homes national symbols. Not an exception and Ukraine – at the home of our Olympic team, waving the yellow-blue flags. Nearby are the homes of Belarusians, are more Canadians and Swiss.
