Benin was left without a football team

Benin Football Federation sacked the entire coaching staff and all players in the national team after its unsuccessful performance in the African Cup of Nations held in Angola in January.
According to the Representative of the Federation, the decision was made football authorities “due to the lack of discipline and the spirit of patriotism” in the team of Benin, as well as a bad game in the tournament.
Benin squad took second place in group D, yielding the first line of the future of the finalists – Ghana’s national team players.
